Mailing List

It is important to make the difference between mailing lists and news groups that I use for professional growth and for my learning process and those I will need to use when I am looking for a job. I guess the ones I subscribed to were more for my professional needs than for looking for an employment. There are many mailing lists and news groups that really concentrate on job postings and if  that is what you are looking for, every day your inbox can  be full  with job postings.

CareerPath .com
www.careerPath.com

I have been using it for while, but not on regular bases. I have locate it while  browsing for information about jobs
I have received two emails. The first was just to inform me that I was registered and the second is a newsletter describing what are the new topics, how and where to find specific information. This is not a list which sends me postings, but more of a guide to employment. The purpose of this newsletter is more to give you a choice of events, topics, how to when you are looking for a job. I enjoy reading the various articles and tips.

Macromedia

I have registered to their mailing list, because I am interested in their products.  I receive around one  e-mail a month and more often if I request something or if their is a special event. I have downloaded some of their products in trial version. I like their newsletters, some contain information on specific products, others talk about new software and they also mention if they are having seminars. That is the way I went to a free seminar in South Bay and I learned a lot about Flash 4.
